Googling the iPad

Google has confirmed that the software their iPhone app uses has been updated for the iPad. Users of the iPhone will already be familiar with the format, where the top Google products are available. These include Gmail, Calendar, Talk, Buzz, YouTube and Google Earth, to name just a few, all now available at your fingertips on the iPad.

Realistically, the app is very similar in make up to the iPhone app, making use of the iPad’s Apple Safari web browser for many of the functions, rather than remaining totally self contained…but it is good to see that the big boys are adapting for the new platform so quickly.
